So Anjj wanted to make a beanie for a long while (and a tutorial too!!!) and even bought fabric for it, but never really got the time for it. But today Wan came (to get her glasses she forgot last time XD) and we decided to make a tutorial for it =D we know how hard it is to find the perfect beanie!

Things you need:
● pencil
● paper
● scissors
● ruler
● fabric!
● pencil for fabric
● scissors for fabric
● sewing machine or sewing kit

We used "band fabric", I don't know how it's exactly called in English. I think it's called sweater knit fabric, it's the fabric you use for the ending of the sleeves from sweaters. You could also use knitted fabric, which would be even better! Our fabric is round (see next picture), but if yours isn't just sew the endings together in step five after cutting the figures. We also folded ours double (above picture), so we won't have to stitch the bottom.
BTW; the full length of our fabric (folded) is 35cm (14inch).

Step one; Measure 2cm from the top down (this is for the seam) and draw a line with your fabric pencil. Then measure down approximately 11cm down from this line and draw another line. The measure the width of the fabric.
NOTICE; if you measure the full length of the fabric, measure 1/6. If you measure half of the fabric (like I did) you will have to measure 1/3.

Step two; Now draw a figure on your paper like the one on the picture. Again, use the 1/3 measurement if you measured half of the fabric and 1/6 if you measured the full width of the fabric. If you find it hard to draw, just fold the paper (like I did) and draw half the figure. Cut out along the lines.
NOTICE; if you fold your paper, use 1/2 of your measurements!

Step three; Now put the paper on your fabric between the lines you drew earlier and draw lines (with your fabric pencil) around the figure you cut out. If you aren't a great sewer, draw the lines 0.5~1cm (0.2~0.4inch) next to the figure.

Step four; Cut the fabric with your fabric scissors along the lines.

Step five; Now sew the sides of the figures to the side of the one next to it. It's best to use a zigzagging stitch, because these are the most secure.

Now you're done! If you have an opening in the middle or when your beanie is too pointy, just stitch a bit beneath the top.

TIPS;
● dare to use colours!
● with any prints on it
● use wool or knitted fabrics
● add a pom pom :3
● or ears :D
● use a wider width and longer length for a 'baggier' beanie

So last weekend was AUMDAY! What is AUMDAY? Well, literally it's "Ariel-Ursula-Mulan Day". We three (Mona, Wan & Anjj) really love Disney cartoons, specially the princess ones. And we wanted to be them, so Mona became Ariel, Wan became Ursula (which isn't even a princess XD but the opposite, she thought Ursula was from 101 Dalmatians haha NOOB!!!) and Anjj became Mulan (not a princess either and I don't want to be Mulan any longer, but I can't change it any more). Anyway, AUMDAY is the celebration of our bday's, since all three of us have our bday's in March ^^

Anyway, this year AUMDAY was on the 27th and 28th of March (again in the weekend when the clock moves forward). We were supposed to pick Wan up from her work at 1pm, but she wanted to go home first, so she would come to my (anjj' house) at 3/4pm. But then Anjj got late too, so we rescheduled again to 4pm. When Ariel and Ursula came, we chilled a bit, did our make-up, surfed a bit on the internet.

We went to a Spanish restaurant called 'El Faro Andaluz' which was waaaay to overpriced. We ordered tortilla's for our first course for €10,- OMG, I can make a much more delicious tortilla for less the price... But it was nice. We also got bread with Garlic sauce and tomato paste, which was delicious!

Then we had our second course, Ariel had grilled shrimps, Mulan had shrimps in hot sauce and Ursula had beef marinated in Saffron. And we got a looooooooooooooooot of food, we couldn't even order a dessert XD so we ordered drinks instead. The (Spanish) waiter who helped us was really funny btw, I think he wanted to make us drunk XD he kept talking about whisky or something XD idk what he was talking about all the time, but yea... he was funny XD and the restaurant was totally filled with old people....

Ursula also gave Mona&Anjj a little present (we forgot to bring little gifts, meanies) cute cupcake lipbalm :3

We went to my home, took showers, stalked a bit on the internet and then we did some quizzes which we made for each other and Mona won, Wan lost, Anjj was second ^___^ then we cut and ate our SEXY CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!

Haha Aladdin was totally lurking. He was our Disney crush btw, but we agreed that he is conservative and we need freedom, so we can't live with him. So Mona's dream man is Beast (prince version XD), Anjj is matched with Prince Erik (from the Little Mermaid, because he looks like a "buffed" version (kinda) of Aladdin xD) and Ursula is matched to general Zhang (from Mulan) hahaha she doesn't want him though, but there is no one else XD after eating cake we opened our presents~

Mona got a lot of make-up items, a memory card for her phone and Cocos smelling spray and scrub. Wan got MAC gelliner, a cute dress from Bershka and ring from H&M (which was to small, but I will tell about that later XDD). Anjj got a eyeliner brush, grey legging from H&M, maroon thigh high socks from AA, and black and white eyeshadow (plus black with glitters). After unwrapping our presents we watched "The Little Mermaid"! We love that movie~~ Ariel is a little 16-year old spoiled slut though XD we agreed to that haha we wanted to watch "Beauty and the Beast" but Anjj doesn't have that movie ),:

After that we watched "Night at the Museum 2" which is like totally hilarious XD we love Ben Stiller (because he kinda looks like a kid from our high school XD)

Then we went to bed, gossiped a bit and Ursula kept complaining about that we should stay up late and then there was too much light blablabla and she fell asleep first -__- then Ariel and Mulan stayed up, but I can't remember what we talked about, only that we "bleutoothed" XD

We went to sleep 4am XD (including the 1 hour plus) and then Ursula woke us up "wat gaan we doen vandaag?" (trans; "what are we gonna do today?") with a reaaaally annoying voice. But mona&anjj ignored her and went back to sleep XD and so did she (eventually?) and then we woke up around 12am/pm (idk?). Showered and ate bread from the over~!!! And what did we watch? I don't remember XD Je ne sais pas any more. We did ate B&J Cookie Dough though, that I do remember XD But after that we were reaaaaally lazy... XD like really lazy, we didn't do anything until... 5pm XD

We dressed up (for nothing actually) and well, Wan's ring got stuck on her finger XD and it was scary, because her finger started to get purple... and Mona was on the phone and didn't notice anything XD Anjj helped Wan out of her ring and Wan didn't dare to wear the ring again XD so Anjj may have it (but I feel bad about it... XD) then we went to AH (supermarket) and bought deep freeze pizza's. Came back and ate pizza while we watched The little Mermaid 2 and we hate Ariel's daughter because she is ugly!!!!

she's an insult to all pretty Disney Princesses!

After that we just watched TV and we were kinda bored I guess and then AUMDAY was over T_____T we can't wait till next year! We must do it better, we were way to lazy this year XD

Anyway, I have forgotten a few (many) things, I'm getting old you know T^T besides, it's 2am right now XD
